Sizzling hot on-screen couple Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, who were last seen in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham are rumoured to work together again in Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’.

Hrithik had recently said in a talk show that he was looking forward to working with Kareena in ‘Agneepath’. Earlier buzz was that Kareena had refused to do an item number in the movie.

With rumours of their real life affair making rounds, Kareena and Hrithik seemed to have distanced themselves from each other ever since.

When Kareena was asked about the movie at a press conference, she chose not to answer stating that it had nothing to do with the product she was endorsing.

If it’s an action film, it can’t get bigger than this. The masses are in for a treat as Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have teamed-up to act together in an action flick. Not only that, the trio willl also produce the film.

The three macho men of Bollywood have been close buddies since very long. They have been meeting regularly these days. During one such meeting, they discussed this idea which they promptly decided to materialise.

It all started when someone suggested Salman and Ajay to star together in an action film. Both of them, who were impressed with the idea, decided to produce the film and also approach Sanjay to act in it. When Sanju heard the idea he decided then and there to not only act but also co-produce it along with Sallu and Ajay.

Currently, Sanjay, Salman and Ajay are already associated with action flicks. Ajay’s Singham and Salman’s Bodyguard is ready for release while Sanjay is shooting for Agneepath and Zilla Ghaziabad.

Actor Ajay Devgn, who is readying for his upcoming action-packed film Singham, is all praises for his director friend Rohit Shetty and is excited that the initial response to their new venture has been “roaring”.

“Singham rocks, growls and ROARS! AAAAWESOME!!! Kudos to Rohit. His best so far… And so says Kajol, I think she really meant it (sic),” Ajay said on Twitter.

Rohit and Ajay’s association dates back to Phool Aur Kaante(1991) in which Ajay made his acting debut and Rohit was assistant director.

After that, Rohit worked as assistant or associate director in other Ajay starrer films like Suhaag, Haqeeqat, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Hindustan Ki Kasam and Raju Chacha.

At the age of 29, Rohit directed his first feature film, Zameen in 2003, as an independent director with Ajay as one of the leads.

The actor-director duo went on to work together in films like Sunday, Golmaal series, All The Best and the 42-year-old actor is now overwhelmed with the response to the latest Singham.

“One of the best compliments I got today that just made my day “wish I got a whistle with the ticket. Really missed the whistle!,” Ajay said. “The response here is “roaring” (after the trial show)…thanks everyone,” he added.

Singham, is a remake of the successful 2010 Tamil film of the same name which was directed by Hari and featured Suriya in the lead role.

The Hindi remake stars Ajay and south actress Kajal Agarwal and releases on July 22.

Genelia D Souza has been replaced by Prachi Desai in Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan.

Buzz is that Genelia didn’t have the adequate dates as she has signed for Navdeep Singh’s Shaadi of the Dead (touted as India’s first zombie movie) opposite Abhay Deol, that begins shooting in August.

But now that Shetty’s film has been pre-poned Genelia had no other option but to walk out. In Shetty’s film now Prachi will be seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan. One’s loss is the other’s gain!

Ofcourse with the trailers of Singham doing rounds showing Ajay Devgn with his chiseled physique, he has become the ‘talk of the town’, making even Salman Khan go ‘Kya body banayi hai yaar’ !

Sources say that the Dabangg star himself could not resist praising Ajay’s body in the movie. Sallu tweeted “Superb Ajay’s body is looking. Too good.”

However, the action hero has been maintaining a low profile letting his work do the talking. On being questioned about his workout regime he said that he has had this body for years. “I’ve been working out since a long time now!”, he said.

In Singham, it is learnt that Ajay will be showing off his body where he plays the role of  a cop. Celeb trainer Prashant Saawant, who’s helped him get to this point in three months, says Ajay went through rigorous combination of weights and circuit super sets that incorporated all techniques including pushups and pull-ups, along with a high-protein low-carb diet.

Katrina Kaif brought in her birthday on July 15 by booking a table for herself at a fancy Chinese restaurant two blocks away from her own home.

Present for the dinner were Arjun Kapoor(Boney Kapoor’s son)Ayan Mukerjee(Wake Up Sid), Kabir Khan( New York) and Alvira Agnihotri(Salman’s younger sister).

The next day July 16(her birthday) Katrina spent a part of her day promoting ZNMD as is reported in the media. But what no one knows is that she then drove to Salman’s house(Galaxy Apartments, Bandstand) for a special birthday lunch.

The menu was kheema-pav, rajma-chawal and a lot of other specialities that the Khan household is famous for.

Says a source, For once Kat ate to her hearts content with no diet constraints. Later in the evening, she spent time with her personal assistant Sandhya and her team planning the look test for her film Ek Tha Tiger. Today Katrina will spend the day doing her look test. And though he was expected to join Kat for the test, he is likely to rehearse for a song for his next release Bodyguard instead.”

After a break in Los Angeles, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is heading back home to celebrate her 29th birthday with her family, post the Mumbai blasts.

“Heading home..LA’s been amazing…but looking forward to seeing my family… my dad n my brother esp with everything that’s happening wanna b home (sic),” Priyanka posted on her Twitter page.

She flew to Los Angeles straight from the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend and awards ceremony in Toronto last month.

The National Award winning actress has a lot to look forward to this year. She has a line-up of films, including “Don 2: The Chase Continues”, the “Agneepath” remake, “Barfee”, “Krrish 2″ and Kunal Kohli’s next with Shahid Kapoor.

Priyanka has also signed up for a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s mega-budget “RA.One”. She seems to be on a roll!

Guess, the ‘18 till I die’ syndrome works well with Jackie Shroff. According to sources, for the upcoming movie, ‘Neil Ko Pakadna Mushkil Hi Nahin Namumkin Hai’ directed by Chandra Barot, Jackie was offered the role of the lead actor i.e. Aniket Vishwasrao father but Jackie refused and as a result, the storyline was changed slightly and he was asked to portray the role of the actors brother.

Director of the movie informs, “Jackie was to project the role of Abhijeet’s father but he refused the role saying abhi mujhe pitaji ke role nahi karne hain . Therefore, we changed his role as the brother’s role in the movie.” In the movie, Jackie Shroff essays the role of Aniket Vishwasrao’s big brother and the brothers have an uncanny rapport as they like to play games where they challenge one another on various issues. Now, Jackie’s photos regularly appear on the front page for his many charities and he always chides with Aniket as to when would he see his photo on the cover of a paper. This is a sort of challenge for Neil (Aniket) and he accepts the challenge. Neil, with his three friends, kidnaps a beauty queen (Sanam) who has just won a beauty pageant (not knowing she is the daughter of the Chief Minister). Thus starts a long chase and finally Swati (Sanam) realises that this was a prank gone wild (she actually falls in love with Neil), both Swati and Neil decide to clear all misunderstandings and return back home when Swati actually gets kidnapped by real terrorists. The boys decide to rescue her as it was their fault in the first place and in the process, they also get caught. Here Jackie Shroff decides to bring his brother back and this time Jackie’s wife (Anu) throws a challenge at him and this is one challenge he is not going to loose.

All’s well that starts well? May be. The two releases this Friday — Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 — have set the cash registers ringing at box office.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara opened at 875 screens and saw a very good audience response, ranging between 70 to 90 percent. Some shows, in fact, ran to packed houses on Friday. This is a heartening response for trade, which expected the film’s collections to take a hit following the Mumbai terror attacks just two days back.

ZNMD has got mixed reviews from the critics, some hailing it as a nod to life while others trashing it as a mere ad for Spanish tourism. But what matters at the end of the day is bumps on seats, which this Zoya Akhtar directed film has managed to attract.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 released on 800 screens and saw a positive response at most of the centres. The audiences are particularly flocking to see the film in 3D version, the 2D version failing to really take off yet. Still, the film is expected to have a good first weekend.

Another positive is that ZNMD and Harry Potter don’t seem to be eating into each other’s business as much as one had expected. Which means a win-win situation.
