Post Dhoom 2 it was very obvious that Hrithik was brilliant and Abhishek was a damp squib. It was evident that he was no match for the dazzling Hrithik. Amitabh is said to have complained to the Chopra’s about giving his son a raw deal, though in all fairness this was not the case.
Shah Rukh Khan has also, supposedly shown his displeasure to his chum Karan Johar for giving the Bachchan’s too much of importance and ingnoring him in the bargain. Not wanting to hurt his friend Karan has decided not to direct any of the Bachchan’s in the near future.
Only time will tell whether the Bachcan’s are able to restore their former glory and monarchy in the Indian Cinema.

The Bachchan’s seem to be mired in quicksand, which may either pull them in or the veritable straw will be enough to see them bounce back to the top.
Firstly the debacle with the TV channel Star for “Kaun Banega Crorepati”. After the magical success of KBC, which had the highest TRP”s and Star was at the top. Amitabh also benefited greatly as the popularity and the money earned bailed him out of imminent bankruptcy.
KBC 2 was launched, but failed to scale the TRP’s of the first glorious season. With 20 episodes pending Amitabh fell seriously ill. Star was only too willing to wait for him to recuperate. As they had paid him for all the episodes well in advance, but on approaching Amitabh they were in for a shock. Big B wanted to forget about the Season 2 and start fresh with Season 3. When Star suggested that he should complete Season 2 first, Big B was mightily upset and asked them to look for another anchor. He fully expected them to come back to him.
It looked like Star accepted Big B’s decision with alacrity. They felt it was to their advantage as they felt the show needed a breath of fresh air if it had to be arrested from sliding downwards. They wasted no time in getting Shahrukh to sign on the dotted line. So instead of going back to Amitabh as he had expected, they unceremoniously dumped him, albeit at Amitabh’s instigation.
Some rumors also claimed that Big ‘B’ had asked them to take his son in his place.

“Big Brother” a popular celebrity TV show in UK will feature Shilpa Shetty in their next series. Other film and TV celebrities from UK will join Ms. Shetty on the show. She will be asked to choose a partner she finds most attractive and will then be seen dining, dating and flirting with him.
All the couples on the show will compete with one another to get their partner’s pulses racing. To evaluate the success of their seduction abilities, special heart-rate monitors will be fitted on them. The couples with the highest results will win.

The pundits of Bollywood have predicted that 2007 will be a great year in the history of Bollywood. According to them, the industry will churn out at least 250 A-Grade films this year breaking all records and 43 of these releases will be box office biggies.
The “Big B” will continue to reign supreme this year with seven releases, six already in production, excluding guest appearances.
Business figures have indicated that 2006 has been the best year in the history of Bollywood. Lets see what 2007 has in store.
